In celebration of National Heroes' Day, The Red Whistle has partnered with Project Headshot Clinic to launch the inaugural Heroes for Change Awards. This August, we are honoring twelve individuals who, in their own unique ways, have championed for change in the fields of sexual health, mental health, LGBT rights, and freedom of expression in the last twelve months.
We asked our Instagram followers to tell us, "What does it take to be a hero for change?" Check out their heroic answers in the comments section of Instagram post below.
Being a hero for change does not require grand acts or a big following. In line with the launch of the Heroes for Change Awards, we have launched the Digital Heroes for Change campaign, which allows anyone to be a hero for the cause of health, wellness, and human rights. For a small donation, anyone can receive their own digitally edited Heroes for Change headshot. Part of the proceeds will fund the continuing programs of The Red Whistle.
